About the property
A warm, personally run inn in the heart of Drake Bay — your base for Corcovado National Park and Caño Island.
Corcovado Drake Inn stands in the small village of Agujitas de Drake, a short walk from the beach and from the boat launch that carries travellers into Corcovado National Park and out to Caño Island. Surrounded by tropical vegetation, it is a peaceful corner where macaws fly overhead, monkeys cross the rooftops and toucans visit the trees around the pool.
Rooms range from simple, comfortable doubles to modern deluxe rooms with a kitchenette, plus studios and a three-bedroom apartment for families. Tours to Corcovado and Caño Island can be arranged for you, as single excursions or as packages.
After a day of hiking or snorkelling, relax by the pool (about 12 × 4 m), one of the few in the area. The on-site restaurant, Ciao Drake, serves local breakfasts, pizza, pasta and fresh fish (until 15 December 2026).

How to get here
By air
A domestic SANSA flight from San José to the Drake airstrip takes 45–50 minutes; the airstrip is a few minutes from the inn. Small aircraft, 12 seats, strict luggage limits. Transfers can be arranged.
By boat
Boats leave from the dock in Sierpe and take about 1 hour along the Sierpe River and its mangroves, around US$20 per person. Book in advance.
By road
About 7 hours from San José via Route 34 (Costanera) and Route 245. The last 20 km are unpaved; a high-clearance 4×4 is recommended and roads can close in heavy rain.
